Fr. Wissa was born in Cairo in 1960. He grew up and served as Sunday school servant at st. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Heliopolis.
He graduated from the university of Ain Shams in 1983 with a bachelor degree in Electronics and Communication.
He immigrated to Australia in 1992 and served in the st. George Coptic orthodox church in Kinsington, Sydney.
He wished to live the life of monasticism. He entered the Monastery in 1995 and was ordained a monk on April 3rd, 1999 in the Monastery of St. Bishoy Egypt and was one of the first monks that helped establish the monastic life in the Monastery of St. Shenouda Australia.
Fr. Wissa was ordained a priest on Jan 29th, 2000 by H.H. Pope Shenouda III in the Monastery of St. Anthony , California,United States.
Fr. Wissa was elevated to Heugmen on May 15th, 2010 by HG Bishop Daniel at st Shenouda Monastery, Sydney.
H.H. Pope Tawadros Il sent Fr. Wissa to serve at St. Philopateer and St. Demiana Coptic Orthodox church Newmarket since on August 4th, 2018.
